Heart of Midlothian Football Club have asked us to make our fans aware of the following road info that may have an impact on travel plans to Edinburgh for this Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup, Quarter-Final tie.
Please be advised that due to Russell Road being inaccessible to vehicular traffic due to tram works, the arrangements for the parking of St Mirren Supporters coaches attending the Scottish cup fixture at Tynecastle Stadium on Saturday 10th March 2012 will be as follows:
Coaches should access McLeod Street from Gorgie Road; Supporters can then be dropped off at Roseburn Turnstiles (visitors’ turnstiles). Drivers should then continue to follow McLeod Street to Russell Road. Vehicles should then turn at Sauchiebank and park up facing south for departure.
Supporters using car-parking facilities in the Russell Road and McLeod Street areas are reminded that there is no access to car parks from Russell Road. All vehicle movement will be prevented 1 hour before kick-off and for approximately ½ an hour (at the discretion of Lothian & Borders Police) post match to ensure the safe arrival and dispersal of pedestrians.
Visiting Supporters Pedestrian
Visiting supporters should be aware that there is a narrowing of the roadway in Russell Road near to Sauchiebank and this may slow down pedestrian access to and from the match.
Your co-operation in this matter is appreciated.
