Kick and Collect Reward – Carlisle Trip

Last Friday evening, St Mirren Community Coach, Stephen Gallacher took a group of young people from Renfrew and Linwood down to Carlisle to take in St Mirren’s pre-season game against Carlisle United.

The day out on the trip was the youngsters reward for their participation in the ‘Kick and Collect’ programme. They were involved in clean ups and graffiti removals in their local community and were rewarded with the all-expenses paid trip to watch St Mirren play away from home against Carlisle United.

Stephen Gallacher said, “The young people really enjoyed the experience of travelling to an away game and they also got the opportunity to meet up with the players before the match.

“It was the first time that one of the boys had ever been in England never mind an away game.

“The group are now currently planning their next community initiative in the hope that they can get to see more St Mirren games.”

If anyone would like to get involved in the ‘Kick and Collect’ reward programme or if you require more information all you have to do is contact Stephen by mobile phone: 07557 281 581 or by e-mail: stephen@saintmirren.net.
